Nordljud Talk is back, with Hilde Sandvik
Scandinavian journalist Hilde Sandvik will be our guest speaker at the upcoming Nordljud Talk!
>>> Zoom link: https://gu-se.zoom.us/j/61007539824 <<<
Yes, it’s been a while since our last Nordljud Talk so it’s about time to open the doors of our digital meeting room to start talking again about Nordics and the media. And what better way to start off the new year than with an experienced journalist that works in Scandinavian?
Hilde Sandvik, is a Norwegian journalist based in Bergen, with many years of experience and a strong passion for the Nordic project. For over two years she has been running a collaborative show on Scandinavian public service radios.
Speaking a common ‘Scandinavian language’, a mixture of Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, is something Hilde believes in a lot and does both professionally and privately.
In October, during the Nordljud Weekend in Bergen, part of the team caught up with Hilde and spoke about Scandinavian identity, how to surpass the difficulties in understanding each other and the way many Scandinavians tend to switch into English, for simplicity.
The Nordljud Talk will take place digitally on the 6th of February 2023 and is open to all Student Radio members in the Nordic countries plus staff students & alumni of JMG, Gothenburg university.

Hilde Sandvik, is the mastermind and Norwegian radio host of the only radio show in ‘Scandinavian language’, broadcast on Norwegian, Swedish and Danish public service radios. Have a listen to Norsken, svenken og dansken here.
God Jul! – Merry Christmas! -Hyvää Joulua!
From all of us at Nordljud, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023!
During the next two weeks we will be checking our emails a bit less often than usual and our radio show is taking a winter break.
Have a listen to our Christmas music playlist, to keep the Nordic festive spirit going!
News Course!
It´s happening! Nordljud, is going to hold a Radio News Course and you are invited to join! The course is open to all Studentradio members in the Nordics, will be held in English and digitally.
Top-notch journalists from Scandinavian public service radio (names yet to be announced!) will join us to share their experience and give us tips and tricks to produce high quality and interesting radio news. This is part of our work to build a Nordic Studentradio Newsroom. How cool is that? More than a night in Kiruna at this time of year! đ
Do you want to know more about the course and our Newsroom project? Join us at one of our info sessions:
Tuesday 13th December at 18:00 (Stockholm time)

Nordljud: an exciting year ahead
As the Nordic Studentradio stations re-open after the summer holidays, Nordljud will resume its activities.
Thanks to newly received funding from Nordic Culture Point there will be a news project, in addition to the already existing activities.
The possibility of joining a âNordic Studentradio News Teamâ will further give opportunities for students interested in radio broadcasting and journalism to collaborate on a cross-border Nordic news production.
âThis is pioneering! If you look around at both private and public service media there has not been a Nordic news edition so far. We obviously cannot compete in budget and organisational capacity, we are mostly just students and young journalists, but our ambitions are big and we hope to inspire more pan-Nordic collaborations. I believe we have a lot to gain from working together!â, says Nordljudâs co-founder Alex Maxia.
